Snapshots of Over-the-Rhine celebrates the neighborhood in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s through photos taken by residents. Using personal snapshots, five co-curators help tell the story of the now rapidly changing Over-the-Rhine they call home.
The personal snapshots will be enlarged and printed on weather-resistant panels with accompanying captions. Some will hang in the storefront windows of the Over-the-Rhine Museum's building at 3 West McMicken while others will extend west down the adjacent fence line.
The exhibition will be on view through December 2024.
Snapshots of Over-the-Rhine is part of the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial: backstories. Now in its seventh iteration, the Biennial activates over 100 projects at museums, galleries, universities, and public spaces throughout Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Northern Kentucky in October 2024.
