Have you ever wondered what changed when Cincinnatians stepped over the canal and into Over-the-Rhine? Our South of Liberty Young Professionals Tour weaves participants through the stories of Over-the-Rhine’s earliest residents between the Miami-Ohio Canal (now Central Parkway) and Liberty Street. Starting in the early 1800s with stories of German immigrants, we’ll explore how different people lived in this neighborhood over its long history. There will also be discussion about the homes and lives of more recent residents of Over-the-Rhine—Appalachian and African American families. This tour begins at Music Hall (1241 Elm Street) and concludes with a happy hour at the Symphony Hotel from 7-8:00pm. This tour is funded by Artswave and is for participants under 40 years old.
Tickets are free but registration is required and tour capacity is limited to 25. Please reserve one ticket per person. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any registration issues or concerns.
